Creating Peace

The 10th and 11th graders came together last night in Sha'arim to talk about creating peace. From the conflict in the Middle East to friendship dynamics here in Needham, we explored what it took to overcome our differences.  Please click here for Rabbi Jay's words on the situation in Israel sent out to the congregation last week.

We found that the key to peace is truly understanding. Maybe Ralph Waldo Emerson sums it up for us:

“Peace cannot be achieved through violence; it can only be attained through understanding.”

We felt that the only way to bridge a gap, bring people together and to overcome conflict was to find common ground. Nikki and Marla found common ground in their LOVE of camp and value they place on the friendship of their camp friends.
