In our class we have had some interesting discussions around the themes of the High Holy Days. Students have shared thoughts about what they might not have been so proud of in this past year, and how they can improve on those things in the year ahead. Much of the talk was about family/sibling relationships, so I hope you get to see visible evidence of their efforts to make things better in your homes! We have also begun delving into our regular 6th grade curriculum which is about Torah - or more correctly, TaNakh - of which Torah is a part. There is a great thirst for knowledge on the part of the class, which makes the job of teaching them that much more pleasurable!
